TGIM or TGIF for you??

TGIM or TGIF to you?!!

Business issues keep on happening on my friend's life. This make me think of the following:

Do you say, 'Thank God it's Monday-TGIM' or 'Thank God it's Friday-TGIF'? What makes the difference? It's a stupendous salary, a terrific title and an awesome corner office, right? Wrong.
Surveys around the world show the main reasons for people being happy at work are good communication with management and nice co-workers. This means a sense of community is more important than that big office.
Happiness is also a state of mind. You decide whether to be happy or not. It sounds simplistic but it's true. Take responsibility for your work environment. Change the things you can, accept the things you can't and have the wisdom to know the difference.
It's fine to look forward to the weekend, as in TGIF, but the end shouldn't be the focus of your entire week.
Find co-workers you like and spend time with them. Have a best friend at work. Don't dwell on the negative aspects of your work- we all have them. We'd all like to have the best employer in the world but it's unlikely. Choose to like it, choose to change it or choose to move on. Just make sure it's for the right reasons.
The best has yet to come, my friend!!
